I was looking at a 9MM one until I saw the price and went and almost wet myself! For that kinda money I can get a Sub 2000 & a Hi-point Carbine!!

I keep looking at that too. I am looking at 92 mag compatibility and it seems my only choices are the Sub 2000 and the Beretta. The prices on the Sub 2000 have been ridiculous lately. I am on several notification lists. CDNN offered me a Sub 2000 for $500. I told him to find another buyer. I know they were gouging and may never buy anything from them again.

I called Beretta today on the magazine type for the 45acp. They take the 8000 series mags not PX4 mags. The 8000 is the discontinued Cougar and only available in 8 round capacity. Stoeger now makes the Couger and has standard 8 round mags @ $39 ea. There is an after market kit out there to convert it to PX4 mags. What is needed is a kit to convert it to 1911 mags. I told the rep they should consider making the CX4 available with 1911 mags if they wanted sell more carbines. Probably wont go anywhere but it put me out of the market on at least the 45acp carbine. I can buy a 45 acp carbine for under $600 but it is close to $800 for the 9mm with 92 type mags which puts me out of the market too.

Very nice carbine. Are there high cap mags available for the 45 acp? I'd want a 20 or 30 for a pistol caliber carbine like this.

I did find a +2 conversion and there is supposed to be an extension out there to take the mag up to 15 rounds. Both these mods are basically useless to me as I want matching pistol and carbine mags.
