Default Barrett M99

Spent a few hours firing this weapon using incendiary at 500 yards at steel pipe. Single shot bolt action with match barrel and trigger. More accurate than the M82 semi auto and about the same recoil, maybe a touch more...a spikedriver. Like I say with all these Barrett 50s, every trigger pull is an event.

Then had fun with the rest of the stuff we hauled out there...my Rem 700

Siggy 556 with ACOG and VTAC sling

And topped off 3 days of range time with a .75 cal Brown Bess repo.

I've shot the M82 a few times and the recoil isn't that bad at all really compared to the round it fires, the pressure is what really what surprised me the first time I shot it.

Lot of ground and air disturbance due to the massive muzzle brake but a manageable recoil. The 99 jarred me a bit more than the 82 but I think it was firing position, prone with the 82, standing bench with the 99.
