Looks like a pretty decent group for a standard AR 15 at 100 yards to me.

Willfully,
Thanks for the suggestions, that really sounds like a reliable way to really judge the accuracy of the rifle AND myself...
Don, you're too kind! I was pretty happy since I've only shot a couple hundred rounds so far. But I think I can expect better, especially with Hornady and Federal Fusions.

Supergus,if you have only put a couple hundred rounds down the tube, you can expect the groups to get better. Also try several different types of ammo and find out what your gun likes. I reload my ammo and it is funny that what shoots fantastic in one gun, shoots like crap in another.
Just find out what yours likes and then your groups will tighten up and you will enjoy all your range time.

Default AR

Some of the AR's are notorious for lousy triggers, 12# pull, too much creep, etc.

Default Is it me?

I now shoot 62gr FMJSCBT, Mil-Surp, LC "Grn Tip". It seems to fly tight. I zeroed for 100. Good tight groups. However, my 50yd impact is 6-8" low? Is there that much difference or is it me? Does any one have or know of the trajectory table for CAR/M15 using 62gr FMJSCBT?

Stag Arms Mdl 1, 16"chrome lined
Eothec 516 w/5XMako

I've shot bench, standing, kneeling and prone with pretty much the same results. I didn't notice any appreciable difference with my old ammo(PMC 55gr FMJBT). I may have improved a little.
