The other possibility is you are not keeping a good, solid, cheek weld on stock with firm, but not hard(let recoil happen)butt pad placement in shoulder. As to the jams. Try different ammo. You rifle doesn't like the ammo you got. My little Rugers always liked 36gr "Mini Mag" CCI(High Velocity). They'll shoot other hi-velocity ammo, but CCI gave best performance with accuracy. Stinger/Blazer ammo is HYPER-VELOCITY and not recommended. OK for bolt actions, but not semi-autos, unless your rifle/pistol is set up for it. If you're using cheaper, regular velocity type ammo(type found in 500- count bulk box), it doesn't have enough energy to fire-eject-load for a semi-auto. Step up to High-Velocity ammo and your little Ruger should work like a CHAMP. Even if you do get High Velocity ammo, the type you got may not work reliably due to manufacturing differences, so get 1 box, of 2 or 3 different ammo brands to try.
Sorry I noticed you sold Ruger and went with Savage MkII(very good little bolt action). I have one myself that's a little different than most. It's called a AXIS and less than 300 were built in 2011.

Blazer is the same as the 40 grn Minimag but not copper coated. I have shot thousands of rounds of Blazer in my 10-22 and other rifles and it always performs well. Stingers are extra high velocity as are the CCI Velocitors. American Eagle 38 grn hp and 40 grn solids work well in my 10-22. Same with Aguila in those weights.

I understand the whole squeeze deal. I do. But honestly squeezing is quite difficult with this gun cuz the trigger pull is so light. And by follow through do u mean like maintain my hold on the trigger after the shot as well? Cuz I do search for my shot and etc.

A scope won't fix the problem if it is a technique problem like jerking, pulling rather than squeezing, breathing, anticipating, or flinching.

sounds like mostly technique problems... when i shoot i continue to squezze the trigger till after ive settled from recoil and am mostly looking at the target again. cause no matter how long you hold the trigger it will only bang once. this helps me with follow through at least

Yeah. I'll try that. I guess I gotta completely readjust my technique. Ill try the whole follow through thing. I think maybe as far as my elevation goes...I've been looking down my sights wrong. That's one of the reasons I put the scope on. And the jerking to the left I have to work on. My trigger pull is about2.5-3 pounds... so as far as I can tell I'm not moving but that is most likely the problem. There was a few time where id form a small group in the middle of my target when I REALLY concentrated but the majority was high/left.
