I hear you biker... But an over zealous prossocutor may not be satisfied with evidence from the event only. Interviews with people you know and even social media like this thread can be dug up and used against you by an anti self defense prossocutor to paint you as a blood thirsty vigilantte...

It's best to simply not go there.

another factor that works in a prosecutors favor, is there is no statute of limitations on murder. which means years down the road he wants to re-open the case as a murder case, he can, legally.

very similiar to what happened to George Zimmerman. not exactly, but similiar.

very true...and like I said before and will always say.......I hope & pray I never have to even pull a gun on someone, bit more actually shoot someone.....and the only time I would kill someone is if I have no other choice, such as in a case where they continue to come at me even after being injured. Although I try to avoid all situations where trouble may arise and am hopefully never put in a predicament where I'm forced to even show a firearm........as I am a life long believer that violence is not the answer.....however I will do whatever I feel I have to to protect myself.

I personally don't think you should judge the bullets based on this test. It's nothing against the bullets, but if you used the same book, the density of the medium changed after the first shot.

I found this link today. Very interesting read and info on the .380, and shot from a taurus 738. Check out the youtube videos from ammoquest.
This test was my opinion and thoughts with the results.

Do me a favor please. Test your link and let me know if you get anything. I get to the right site, but they can't find the page. Thanks.

Once the link loads hit home at the top of the page then go to Categories than Ammo Quest.
Also search for ammo quest and it will show YouTube videos.

You need to fix the link, It has an extra HTTP:// at the end of it.

Everyone sees gelatin tests of 380 hollow point ammo. Here is a gelatin test of a Remington 380 fmj. The FMJ penetrates 17" which is adequate penetration in anyones book. The FMJ even takes a wad of the denim with it.

well getatin is only a test media that is equal for any all ammo tested. bone, tissue, muscle and bone are much more dense than a gelatin media.

After seeing the comparison of wound channels between the 380 and the 22mag, I feel a lot better about my wife's choice in a carry gun. She has a 22 mag j-frame S&W. I did not think it would be anywhere near that close.
