DefaultWhere are Leupold scopes made

I have heard that Leupold is now importing some of their scopes. Is this true? If so which models?

It's my understanding that the Rifleman series and the VX-1 are being imported from Asia, but I could be mistaken. I got an email about it awhile back, I'll see if I still have it.

Leupold has been importing their glass from Japan for a long time.

The scopes/lenses are assembled, for the most part, in their Pacific Northwest production facility. They also gas seal and check them by sinking their scopes in a big tank of water and induce pressure.

I have not heard that they are importing completed scopes, but Leupold has some of the best scopes in the business, plus their lifetime-no-matter-who-owns-it warranty is one of the best out there, IMO.

Contact Leupold - They will shoot you straight.

The reason I asked is my older Leupold scopes have "MADE IN THE USA" on the occular and my never ones dont. Also had to send 2 of my never one back to factory for repair.
