Ive got two leupolds left one is a vx7 designed for dangerous game hunting on large bore rifles. Its got delamination of one of the internal lenses. It was on my winchester model african express in 458winmag. It lasted fewer than 100 shots.

Got a leupold mk4 cqb it loses zero from the recoil of a 556 round.

My vortex strikefire has survived over 250 rounds of 458lott....

Leupold in my book is a bad choice. Its on my no buy list.

My scopes are from vortex, nightforce, nikon, simmons(22lr), leupold, weaver (el paso models). The only ones ive had consistant issues with are leupolds.

I have used alot of scope but I only use Nikon and Vortex now.. Mostly Nikon you can beat there scopes there BDC reticle is awesome especially with there spot on technology lifetime warranty on both you can beat them.. I have a Viper PST that is a greta scope Vortex makes some really nice scope there Diamond back line is like a Nikon Prostaff and there viper pst is like the Nikon Monarch . But If I had to choose I would go with Nikon I have 7 of there scopes and more to come.. Hopefully a new M308 for my custom 308 of a rem 700 action..

My 458 wears a leupold vx7 as well an never an issue, my ruger # 1 in 375 h&h mag also leupy never an issue. Matter fact probly 25 + rifles with leupold no issues ever except I dropped one a.couple yrs ago wouldnt hold zero, leupold fixed it no questions asked. I also have several swarovski, an vortex but same boring story no problems. Nuthin wrong with leupold an theid great optics.

Nikon would be my last choice of a scope the coatings are to dark an they pick up to much trash light in dusk an dawn settings. Some love them others hate them. Thats why we have so many brands to choose from.

I have vortex optics on 4 different rifles, along with their spotting scope. I swear by their products. Their customer service is excellent, and you can't beat their VIP warranty. The midway exclusive vortex viper scope is an excellent option for 499.99 its what. I use on my Remington 700 sps tactical in 308. 5-15x44, exposed turrets, mil mil adjustments. Great product

Thanks man, I appreciate it. Yeah I thought long and hard about doing the camp and ended up jumping into it. I love the way it came out. I've duracoated all my other guns, but nothing multiple colored like that. Used bulldog stencil kit, and the 3 magpul duracoat colors. Im thinking about doing my rem 597 stock the same way
