Default Vortex Viper riflescopes?

Hey guys im looking at a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50 PA Matte Riflescope for my 300 RUM. Is this a good rifle scope and is it going to take the pounding of the RUM? Does anyone have one of these scopes and how do they like it? Thanks for any info on this scope that anyone might have.

I have the 6.5-20x44 with a target dot reticle on my .25-06. I bought it back when SWFA was offering the huge discount because the model was being discontinued. The 30mm tube is a huge bonus for me. I absolutely LOVE the scope. If I would have had the funds, I would have bought one or two more and swapped them out for the Nikon and Burris scopes that I have on some of my other rifles.

do you think it will hold up to a 300 RUM?

Yeah I wouldn't have any problems with doing that. And Vortex has one of the best warranties in the industry, so if something ever did happen, they'll take care of you 100% no questions asked.

man i am split right now between two scopes. I really really like the bushnell elite 4200 8-32x40. BUT!!!! It doesnt have the high turrets! I need the high turrets because this rifle is so far 100% built for llllooonnnggg range hunting. Im talking out to a 1000 yard elk/deer/bear without question. Ive been working this rifle with a gunsmith for the last 14 months and i havent even shot the damn thing yet. The reason i like the the Vortex Viper is because i have read many reviews saying nightforce quality at a fraction of the cost. i get my high turrets and i can get custom made turrets for my exact rifle, bullet, everything!

I love this scope! Thats all I have to say, super easy to make adjustments without having to take your eye off the target. For the price its a great product, and the vortex warranty is awesome, better than most "high end" brands like Swarovski etc... +1
