Default Trijicon TR24 Reticle color - help please

I'm about to go on this optic. The price varies somewhat significantly on the reticle color chosen. From most to least expensive:

Green
Red
Yellow

Does anyone have input as to a reason to stay away from the yellow? I will be putting this on a Sig716 that will be used primarily for target/fun shooting. The only thing I can think of is possibly harder acquisition in bright conditions??

Thanks.

Not sure where your see a varied price swing at . Go TO SWFA and take a look at info and prices . I see a 100 dollar swing and that depends on a 1" or 30mm tube. Color wise that's all your call. I like tend to prefer red.

Amazon has the yellow for $764 and the green for $893. Both shipped, and both 30mm.

amazon is a ripoff

they all cost the same.

my local LGS ordered my green tr24 out the door 759 after tax...

my pref is green 30mm tube. the 1" tube versions are the older ones and arent quite 1x the 30mm tubes are true 1x.

green for me shows up better at dusk dawn bright day dim light better than yellow or red against all back grounds. green is one of the last colors to fade and one fo the first to come into vision as light shifts. however everyone sees colours different hence three different colors trijicon has. what works for me may not work for your particular genetic makeup.

ive hunted with my tr20 (green mildot) and the green is a huge diff over red it doesnt wash images in difficult light out as much.

check with some of our vendors for pricing http://www.firearmstalk.com/sponsors/ shoot some pm's to em tell em what your looking for.

Their pricing may be a little odd in this particular case, but in general, I respectfully disagree. I have priced many items over time vs sponsors and LGS and usually do better on Amazon with free shipping. If the pricing is close I will always buy from LGS. But when you get good pricing, free shipping, and delivery to your door in 2 days, its tough to beat.

Jon, understood, and I know where you're coming from. I have just been impressed with their service over hundreds of purchases. The one time I felt like I was in a bind was with a leaf blower. It wasn't running quite right, but not broken. Laws would not allow them to ship it back after gas was put in it. I called and talked to a real person. I was expecting them to do something for me in regards to a repair, or something. They sent me another one the next day and told me I didn't have to return the first one. Just one example........

But I do agree that the vendors make a difference. Some are even out of the country. But if you order "Prime" with the 2 day shipping you know its coming from the states.

Don't be surprised if amazon has some info screwed up like the tube size. I have had good dealings with them and some that had to go back. They like us are at the mercy of the retailer they advertise for.

i would just be REAL hesitant to buy something that is as counterfeited as trijicon products from a unknown vendor.

Guys, we're not talking about counterfeit products........I just got an email from Midway on their clearance sale items. Nikon m223 3-12X BDC ret, 42mm. Clearance for $424. $399 on Amazon everyday with free shipping.

Just sayin. If I was new to Amazon, I would be taking these warnings more carefully. But I have been buying from them for years.........
