Trijicon ACOG question
I need some advice-- I just purchased a 5.56 rifle and I'm looking for a Trijicon ACOG scope. So far I've narrowed it down to these:
TA01: Trijicon TA01 4x32 ACOG Scope TA31F: Trijicon TA31F 4x32 ACOG Scope TA31H: Trijicon TA31H 4x32 ACOG Scope I also found this comparison page that has helped me out a bit: Trijicon ACOG Comparison and FAQ Do you guys have any helpful suggestions? |
the reticle i prefer for fast moving targets is the german #4.
http://media.midwayusa.com/ProductIm...rge/698618.jpg ignore the scope im just referring to the reticle. for javelina coyote pig it works well. got a leupold mk4 cqb with illuminated circle dot but i prefer the german 4. knowing why you want it would be a help. but im not an acog fan too bulky. just my opinion. |
great-- thanks for the help!

If you are looking for a 4x32 then you should also check out this scope:
Trijicon 4x32 Yellow Illumination I have shot using the TA31H a few times and really like it. Trijicon ACOGs are sweet. |
Can't go wrong
We use the TA 11 and the 47's I think.
Some of our weapons now we (HQ) do not put front or rear sights on when issued to the field. They (HQ) have not had any issues with the scopes loosing zero or breaking while in the field. At least none or very few have been reported. Not enough to compel the service to spend the extra $300.00 for flip up FT and Rear sights. My advice is to pick a reticle design you can live with and go. They are great pieces of gear. |
TA31F would be my choice
The lighted dot is perfect at night also, no glare. Wish I had the $$$$ To get one!!!

I suggest the TA31F. I have one and love it. I originally had the TA01NSNDOC, which is a lot more money, but traded it straight up for the TA31F. The range finding with the chevron is easy. The chevron seems much more crisp than the other reticles. For my eyes at least, the circle and hoarse shoe reticles don't give a precise aimimng point. My eyes pick up the red color more quickly than the yellow (when on the move/ multiple targets). And the green is almost too bright for me. Sorry, I got to rambling. The trijicon Rep out here is awesome, and let us T&E a bunch of them.. Just my thoughts.
