Default Trijicon Accupoint

I am looking for a replacement scope for my Savage model 12 .223, I currently have a Nikon Monarch 2.5-10x50, but my eyes aren't what they used to be. Looked thru a Trijicon Accupoint the other day and liked what I saw! Am considering a 5-20x50 with mil dot. Want to take the .223 to a clay pigeon at 300 yards.
Appreciate any replies good or bad.

Accupoint is a great choice. Not sure you will need that much magnification for clays at 300, though.

Gordo323,Save about $300 and look at a Sightron SIII scope. I looked at many scopes for my last 2 rifles, and the Sightron was the best bang for the buck.
I'm thinking about selling my Swarovski PH scope on my 300WM and getting another Sightron SIII.I really like these scopes.

Thanks Tx and M14, I’ll look at the Sightron. The colored mil dots thru the Trijicon were impressive however, and as I stated my eyes can’t see what they used to see. I had a hard time with the Monarch at 100 yards so think I’ll put it on my Marlin model 60 .22 and get rid of the Weaver 4X Classic Rimfire.
(Damn!, that brings up more questions of how to get the big scope onto a little .22) and how
much I gotta spend to do that?
It’s all good though!
