On my M700 5Rs I have NF NXS 3.5X15s and on M1As Bushnell 4X14s and one Leupy 4X12. On the .44 Mag carbine a Leupy VXR Firedot.

Delta, the only Tasco scopes worth beans were made in Japan. I have a few of them and they are very reliable with real glass lenses. The new tascos are trash. I know times are tough but take a look at something like this

or this

I would look for a better quality used scope rather than a cheap new scope.

Unfortunately those two exceeded my sock drawer budget. Waiting on the bushnell and a removable scope mount to come in

I have 2 Tasco 3-9X40 scopes that I bought in the early 70's that were made in Japan. Over time they have been used on many different centerfire rifles including at present 2 Ruger #1's 1 in 45/70 the other on a 458 Winchester and are still going strong.
On the other hand my brother bought 2 of the OP's Tasco 6.5-24X42 Mil Dot Varmint scopes from Midway both failed the same way (would not hold zero) from the get go. Sent them back to Bushnell (who now services them) and asked for an upgrade.
They offered him a very generous upgrade to one of their Elite models which he took.
