I'm looking for a scope for my sporterized 1903A3 chambered in 30-06. I will be hunting mostly in California for deer, hog and Tule Elk at ranges from 75 to 200 yards so I'm pretty sure it will need to have variable power. I would like to keep the price under 500.00 if possible. Does anyone suggest an off-set mount for the 03?

nikon is a good low cost decent rugged enough scope choice for such hunting situations especially their monarch line
