Springfield '03 scope
 

I'm looking for a scope for my sporterized 1903A3 chambered in 30-06. I will be hunting mostly in California for deer, hog and Tule Elk at ranges from 75 to 200 yards so I'm pretty sure it will need to have variable power.:confused: I would like to keep the price under 500.00 if possible. Does anyone suggest an off-set mount for the 03?

people that drill holes into a 1903 receiver should be hung...

there are some good no drill mounts for both the 03a3 and 03 style recievers.

nikon is a good low cost decent rugged enough scope choice for such hunting situations especially their monarch line

Since I am not a fan of being hung, I'll look into the no-drill. I love the classics, and can't see doing unnecessary damage!

A fixed power 4X Leupold or Nikon would be perfect for those ranges.:)
