Spotting scope
 

Anyone have any suggestions on a good spotting scope at 1 to 200 yards that wont break the bank? Inexpensive is better than cheap any day.

At those ranges wal-mart, elcheapo midway or swfa should work fine. I have a Simmons 20-60x60 that I payed >$65. Works great.

How small are the holes you want to see?

I'll be shooting a .22 and hopefully 7.62x54r if i get my mosin in the near future :D

check out MidwayUSA. they carry a very good selection of spotting scopes. i just bought a Barska 18-36 power and it works pretty good. it was in a package deal with a rifle scope for less than a $100.

I have a 20-60x65mm. I have NO problem seeing .22 holes at 100y. Probably see them at 200y as well. The 7.62x54 wouldn't be a problem I wouldn't think. (Bushnell Trophy, $200)
