You've a good selection of scopes, but personally for the shooting distance you've mentioned I'd prefer a higher power scope.

Noticed the Grand Slam Weaver on your list....own a few Weavers myself that are all quite good scopes. FWIW you might want to consider a Nitrex TR1 instead of the Grand Slam. The Nitrex line was owned by same company that owns Weaver. Nitrex TR1s are basically Grand Slams, having same optics, internals and made in same Japanese plant. Nitrex line was discontinued, but its life time warranty is handled by Weaver. You can get a Nitrex TR1 in power range you wanted for $130 plus shipping here.

Ccrow175, I like your setup and was planning on building a 700 sps varmint. I will be getting one this Saturday if all goes well. I'm also looking at scopes and had gotten stuck on leupold and vortex. I looked on joeboboutfitters.com and they have a similar scope as yours. I'm going to a gun show so hopefully I can find a vortex there. I am looking for mil dot exclusively. Is that a short throw bolt? My friend has one on his browning 30.06. It makes a big difference. Sweet setup.

The bolt is actually just a krg bolt lift kit. You can't for wrong with the vortex. The midway one has all the features you could ask for with a great price
