Should of gotten the 44MAG or the Pro Model. Much better Scopes for cheaper costing.

I have an 8 point that was on my shotgun. Not many rifles have a recoil like a 3" slug. I put the 8 point on my 22 wmr. The scope gets beat a lot and it doesn't drift. Simmons scopes have a lifetime warranty. No matter what you did to the scope send $10 and the old scope, it will be replaced. The terms of the warranty are listed on the simmons website.

They will only repair the scope if you provide proof of the original purchase...it's on the warranty card that comes in the box....I don't have the receipt but I swung by the store I originally bought the scope from and they swapped it out even though I didn't have a receipt, the manager said she remembered me buying it, I guess there aren't to many guys with English accents in this part of Oregon.

I'll give the replacement a try next weekend...fingers crossed it doesn't bust after a few shots

I think we have all fallen guilty of this at least once or twice and will probably do it again in our lifetime . I know I have done this twice now and both times couldnt have happened at a worse time . From now on its Nikons of mid range or better . What ever funds can deem for the price at that time . Dont get me wrong I would love to own all Schmidt and Benders but funds like that for optics dont happen here .

All my scopes in the past that had nylon gears for the crosshairs would do stuff like 4 clicks up should be an inch but it didn't move, ok 4 more clicks and now its up but it went right an inch and a half. If you stuck with it most of them could be set but then leave it alone. My Burris and Leos are so much easier to work with it's not funny. Understand that most of the Nikon line is also very good that way I've just been more of a Burris fan till they killed off most of my favorites.

Their F'ng junk scope lasted three shots from a .22 Mag. Now the Crap company charges $10 dollars and I pay the shipping to repair their poor workmanship. They should pay me $50 dollars for the troubles their poor inspections caused?

I used a Simmons 44 mag on a hot loaded 30-06 for over 20 years. Never had a problem and never had to zero it from the original sight in. Last year it lost its nitrogen but I'm not complaining. Its been a damn good scope. Its still a good scope it just fogs up now.

No doubt, but I think the generation of scope is gonna determine if you swear by it or at it. Simmons changed hands and mfgs. over the years. The plant in P.I. that was to produce the Master AETEC series tanked and I believe that is what led to them being owned by Bushnell. They were my last real attempt to save money on scopes. I have two Trophies, only one mounted but the rest of my scopes and there are a number are all Fullfield IIs and up. Do have a Vortex SPARC that makes me happy but know nothing of the rest of the line. Anything that comes in a blister pack is not coming home with me. Not saying they can't work but there are a lot of unhappy stories here and on
other forums.

A big +1. I'd stay away from Simmons, Tasco, NC Star, BSA and the like unless you like being frustrated when these scopes fail after limited use.
