My brother in law bought his wife one of these for her AR and it has been a good, cheap piece of equipment. He said she has roughly 600 rds thru it and it has stayed on target without any issues . I shot it this past weekend and it was a nice looking optic for $100. Lifetime warranty also but keep in mind this one is not waterproof.

I ordered one and it should be here in a couple days. Going to try it out on my 22 first and then on my ar when it gets here and I put it together.

I have the new Z series but have not mounted it yet. I have been playing with my iron sights for a while.

Received mine last night and mounted it up. Looks pretty good, not EOTech quality for sure but then again it's 1/4 the price. I've used an EOTech on my father-in-laws RRA and it was nice but I think this will get the job done without breaking the bank.

Dot is clear with a minor shadow or double image which is more visible on darker targets. Dot is visible even on light targets in direct sunlight. Haven't used it yet but if it holds zero I'll be a happy camper I think.

Update...

So the Sightmark is going back!

Upon further evaluation I noticed the detents on the reticle selector knob do not actually hold the reticle in a fixed position. You can hear the click when turning the knob but the knob doesn't lock into position. It can easily be moved a little one way or the other by touching it or even putting on the neoprene cover.

I knew that changing the reticle would most likely change zero and had planned to stick with one reticle after it was zeroed but it's not even good enough for that.

Was hoping to save a little money on an optic that was acceptable for range or light competition use but this IMHO is not acceptable for anything more than a plinker with less than desirable accuracy.

Will save for an Eotech or Aimpoint...

Thats not the one my brother in law has but his has had zero issues. I might suggest the vortex strike fire or the Vortex Sparc . They both come with a 2x doubler thats not the greatest but its only 2X anyway ,Waterproof to 49.7 ft, followed up by the Vortex no questions asked lifetime guarantee. I have had no problems with mine and it is selectable red or green dot , NV capatable
