I plan on picking up a Ruger 77 Frontier in .308 and am looking for a scope for it. I see long eye relief and intermediate eye reliefe models. Am I correct in thinking any pistol scope will have the proper eye relief?

I'd like a variable with max magnification of 7 or 8. Seems Burris has the widest selection. I am looking at spending about 500 or so. Any input would be appreciated.
