First word in previous reply should have been planning.

What do you have now? What are you using it for?

I run a cheap pine ridge 1power red dot on mine. I like it. Holds zero well never had any problems, very accurate. Just put a vortex strikefire on my Ar. Haven't shot it yet, but so far I'm impressed. I like the red and green dot a lot. A little heavy but not horrible. Got a bsa sweet .22 on a marlin 60 build. Got it for 50 bucks. At 50 yards its spot on, but not sure about how well the turrets work. been having some problems with the gun I haven't quite ironed out so havent had a good chance to really burn through rounds at distances and thoroughly test the bullet drop turrets. I would recommend a red dot for the m&p. Recoil is nil so I don't think you need to spend a ton.

I too am looking for a cheap scope for my Mossberg AR lookalike 22cal. The junker on my BB gun is perfect and I'm just lookin for something similar under $100, preferrably less than 50.

New to rifles so not sure if mounts are universal and I can just pick up any cheapo BiMart scope and slap it on, or if I need a specific style or mount type that only certain scopes come with.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Perhaps the cheap Mossberg version doesn't use the same rails as the S&W or a real AR, I wouldn't have a clue. So any knowledge dropping would be greatly appreciated.
