This applies to scopes as well as red dots, the past few scopes I have bought have worked for my rifles but none of them said what the max powered weapon that it could handle or even the max amount recoil it could handle.
I know that you pay for what you get but I had a few lowered priced scope that have worked for years everything from a 22 to a 7mm mag. But then there are tons of things on the internet about red dots breaking on 12 gauges after just a few rounds or even 308 AR's.
How the hell am I suppose to know what optic not to mount on what, I mean I don't have the $700 to buy mil grade glass or optics or any kind so how am I suppose to know if the damn things are going to break off into my face or just be fine?
