They to me are like a small block sure you can do good with them, but what ever you do to a small block I can do to a big block and get even more power out of it. What ever you can do with a 3-9x I can do better with a 4-12x and I don't lose much FOV to a 3-9x with my 4-12.
I have the 6-24x50 on a 10/22.
Sort of feel the same way about SB vs BB.
Dial the power down, but it's there if I want it.
The money is right.
