Default Scope for .22WMR New Haven 740T

My grandad's scope just up and died on me, it was an old K-Mart scope that he mounted onto what is now my New Haven by Mossberg 740T.

I'm wanting to replace it with another 4x32mm doesn't matter the reticle, I'd like to find one that had the same though, the reticle's in the old scope would light up gold when you targeted something black. I've thought of a UTG like this: http://www.amazon.com/UTG-Mil-dot-Scope-Airgun-Pre-adjusted/dp/B003BONFGI/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1334726982&sr=8-5 or this: http://www.amazon.com/4X32-Range-Estimating-Mil-Dot-Scope/dp/B000FX301S/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1334726982&sr=8-8

Any pro's/con's on UTG, I've never used UTG just Tasco and the K-Mart scope, the only thing I do with the rifle is shoot feral dogs, coyotes, squirrels, the occasional crow and snake's(which don't like 40gr HP). Also if wanted, point me in the direction of an under $40 4x32, I don't see any sense in paying more than $40 for a scope for a small bore rifle that the ammo costs more than $20.

TIA.
