Default Savage 12BTCSS/Nikon Monarch mounts?

Yeah, I have a Savage model 12BTCSS in .223 and a Nikon Monarch 2.5 -10 x 50 scope and am looking for some decent mounts and rings. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I have burris all steel rings and 2 piece bases on mine that work great. I have the medium height with a 40mm objective scope but you may have to go with the high rings for a 50mm. There is a formula on how to measure for the height on their website i believe. You may also want to look at their signature zee rings ive heard they are of good quality.

Thanks, I was looking at those on Midway, but also ran across some integral mount/ring combos that looked interesting! Cant find them locally and hate to buy something that dosen't work!

I will suggest a Ken Farrell 1pc base and Burris Signature Zee rings. Both are some of the best on the market. The base is a little pricey, but worth it. And the Burris rings are fantastic, they will not leave any ring marks on your scope.

You can also skip the Ken Farrell base if you want, and just get a set of Weaver bases if cost is a concern.

I have guns setup both ways.

I am a firm believer in a 1 piece bases. I can't stand 2 piece bases myself just adds more variables to the mix.

I have Leupold 2-piece on my 12BTCSS and they have been fine but I want to switch to a 1-piece. I don't want black so have been looking at some in stainless here:
Murphy Precision
and plain silver here:
Savage Rifle Scope Mounts

I also like the Nightforce 20MOA rail I have on my FCP-K, as solid as Badger at much less $$

Thanks for all the advice! Yeah I got the Burris Zee rings (love them) and the rail is an Evolution Gun Works. Haven't decided on a bi-pod yet.
Really appreciated all the info.!
