Default Ruger 10/22 optic...

Any suggestions. Also, I just bought a 10/22 on impulse since I've heard nothing but great things from the cheap ammo, to the reliability and durability, to out of the box accuracy, to the fun of the weapon. Was it a good idea haha, and what optic should I look into?

What do you want to do with it? Bunny busting, squirrels, paper? For just plain fun, I like a red dot.

I've got a Simmons variable 22 mag scope on mine.. Use it mostly to punch holes in paper but it performs very well for me. Nice clear optics at a good price.

I've also got two Simmons 3-9X32 .22 Mag.'s on my two 10-22's. They work great, especially considering the $45-65 price.

Right on yall... Thanks for the input. I'm not looking for a red dot, I had one in Iraq and I took it off to use iron sights... On my personal ar I have a trijicon scoffed, and on my cx4 I have a eotech. On this one I'm gonna go with a little more magnification...

I thought it would be neat to put a Fastfire on a 22. Nice and compact and with the protector mount they can take a decent beating if you're out in the sticks.
