Default Reflex Model/Make advice

Reflex Advice

Currently shooting 6" spread @ 100 yard with ironsight. Looking to zero reflex at 50 yards.

1. Price - Up to $400 (I'm not convinced I need to spend $400-$1000 on a reflex)
2. Use - 100/50 yard spread pattern efficiency
3. Rifle - Romanian M10 AKM
4. Caliber - 7.62x39
5. Variable or fixed power - Looking for Reflex + Lucid 2x - 5x Variable Magnifier
6. Any other requirements you have. - Looking for facts not opinions. I also want to avoid knock-offs such as Airsoft. Any help site URL info would be appreciated. I will formulate my own opinion based on facts and decide for myself if it's worth $400 for an aimpoint/Eotech. But I'd better get a reach around for that price as well before I'd be convinced to marry my reflex sight.

Meprolight outshines both of them. Self powered. As dead on as my acog. Waterproof. Visible in all light/weather.

Nice sight, just out of my target price range.

Thanks though nice to see there are some competative sights out there to aimpoint and eotech.

First off I have had no experience using these optics but have heard good things about them. If you want I'd take a look at the vortex sparc or strikefire both are under $400. Let us all know what optic you decide to get.
