Default Redfield scopes

Ever since I started hunting redfield has had a name in the market. But basically for thier mounts not thier scopes. I'm in the market for a new scope and I've heard a lot of good things about redfields new scopes. What's your oppinion?

They are made by Leopold now. I have sold several and put one on one of my rifles and like it a lot!

Big fan of the Redfield Revolution series. Own several now, used on .22 LR up to .375 H&H. Nice basic scopes that are good performers, durable and affordable. And they look very nice, too

The Redfield Revenge series are a newer design of import origin unlike the Revolution scopes. I cannot say if they go through the same torture test that Leupold is famous for but I do know the Revolution series do.

P.S. I own the 2-7x33 and the 3-9x40 Revolutions, no experience with the 3-9x50 and I was not all that impressed with the 4-12x40 version at its upper power level. The 2-7 and the 3-9x40 have treated me very well.

I think I'm going to go with a revolution, I didn't know they were made by leupold now. That makes me feel a lot better about getting one

In the past, i.e. 35 years ago, they had a great rep.

Unfortunately, just before they went under, their customer service went to hell.

I had a little 2.5X that I dearly loved. Sitting in my safe, it fogged up. I sent it in and they refused to repair it, and offered me a discount on a new scope. After the discount, their offer was 10 percent HIGHER than the LGS.

Perhaps now that they are back in business and owned by Leupold, I'll try one.

I have read good things about them, I plan on having one for my next varmint rifle. My cousin has a pair of their binoculars, I used them ice fishing the other day, they were pretty nice for a cheaper set of binos
