I use a Konus 20-60x80 spotting scope. For around $200 it's hard to beat.

I use a Bushnell Spacemaster. Not a bad spotter for 100 yds.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

You still need to focus it using the back ring.

I have two Nikon RAII spotting scopes. My first was a 20x60 straight view and my second a 15-45x60 angle view.

Both are bright and clear. The 20x is good out to 100 yards and the straight tube fine for sitting at a table. I find the angle view better when standing or for position shooting. The 15 to 45 power is a better way to go if you shoot over 100 yards.

I haven't used anything Redfield in years and really don't remember much about them other than they used to be the top dog 40+ years ago, but like everything else technology has improved.

Unless you want to spend a lot of money on a Kowa, its gonna be hard to see bullet holes beyond 200 yards. At 600 yards, I use mine primarily for watching mirage.
