Aimpoint or EOTech mounted on a gas tube mount. You can co-witness with the iron sights.

Scopes are ungodly slow to pick up if over 2X, and defeat the purpose of an AK. Scopes are for precision, and the AK is not precision.

The red dots and holosights are lightning fast to acquire.

The Aimpoint PRO (patrol rifle optic) would be perfect for you.
When you go home, tell them of us and say:

"For your tomorrow, we gave our today."

I have shot with a scope since my BB gun days and if you take the time to learn to shoot with both eyes open 3x to 4x is as fast as any thing certainly quicker than iron sights! I have used I just switched from a red-dot to a low power scope and its my preference.
The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.
