Red dot,holographic without batteries

Are there any red dot sights that don't require batteries?

okdonk 06-18-2012 09:46 AM

How is it supposed to power up? *head shakes*

I can't remember ware I saw it. It's not technically a red dot. I guess it would be like a scope with 1 red center dot. I just wonted to know if they made one like a eotech style instead of a scope.

Trijicon ACOG is probably what you are thinking of. Rather popular in the
sandbox.

Closest to an EOtech style with no batteries that I'm aware of is the
Trijicon RMR Dual Illuminated.

Yeah. Your looking for a tritium or fiber optic reticle.

Thanks guys. I would hate to be battling the zombies and my battery die. Lol jk.

Always have back up sights.

I'm getting some back up iron sights. But I still won't to junk the NcStar I have.

Cool. Here's a couple sites to look through.

Trijicon uses tritium with a 12.3 year half-life. Getting the tritium changed out by Trijicon costs about $300.

Get an Aimpoint with a 50,000 hour battery life (that's running time, switched on. About 5 years.). Change your batteries every couple of years and it still wouldn't cost as much as the Trijicon and you wouldn't have to worry about them burning out.
