Peep ona 22lr
Ive got a Savage Mark11 NIB i bought a couple months back. It came witha 4x "made in china" scope on it. Looking through it, it just is what it is and im sure will do the trick for stock.
Now im at the LGS the other day, and the guy behind the counter loves to throw me diff. models and makes to take a look at, "see how they feel" lol. He hands me a .308 with some kinda peep-iron sight on it? looking down it i strongly felt this is somthing id like to try on the savage. It had a peep ring by the action and somewhat ofa stubbly fiber optic pin on the end of the barrel.
Was just wondering what some folks might have for expierance with these types of sights.

I've used peep sights for years. The addition of a fiber optic front sight makes them even better IMHO.

My girls savage rascal came with a peep. Only have shot it to 20 yards or so, but shots were almost touching.

Stock sights on most AR's are peeps and the Mini's come with them too. I have a Williams peep and a red fiber front on my BLR. The fiber optic fronts make a world of difference. I would have one on my 10-22 but for the red dot sights. If you want light weight, rugged and no battery it is the way to go. I have used them before on the 10-22 but never liked the brass bead front sight. You will need a higher front sight. Do not get plastic. Get the steel with the fiber optic bead. Williams will sell you a complete set.
