I was thinking about that but correct me if I'm wrong . I looked at the front stock sight and it seems to be welded on ?? I dunno if I want to cut a sight off. even if a pro does it :/ I'd like to keep this as un frankenchestered as possible.

The front sight post should be dovetailed in place, and should be able to be drifted out of the dovetail, and a new sight drifted into it's place. If you wanted to go that route.

Thanks doc. In that case I may look into that . I love williams firesights. That would be awesome to get one of those guys on there if the sight is dove tailed .

Bummer. Doesn't look dove tailed to me.

Yes it is. Take a punch and put it on the side of the front sight and tap it towards the left side of the barrel

Ok , I'll take your word for it . Although Im not seeing a seam on either side that does not mean it's not there. Is this something I can attempt myself? Or best to let a smith do it ?
( sorry for the noob question )

If you want to change that front sight, it is much, much easier if you put the barrel in a vise. The sights usually go in and out the same side as the gun ejects. Once the sight is out measure the overall height of the sight to know which one to order for replacement. The sight on yours is around .50" I think.

Yea there is def no dovetail on this sight. Everything I read about the early model 94 angle eject is saying the front sight is soldered on and that is consistant with what im seeing. That being the case am I stuck with the stock sight or ? Theres absolutely no way id attempt soldering myself. Im not that good to begin with never mind taking the chance of ruining the bluing.

Not busting your balls here.
I am a gunsmith.
The sight is dovetailed. To a trained eye it is blatantly obvious. Based solely on your apprehension you should bring it to a gunsmith.
When in doubt, contract it out.
