Default optics decision?

I got my ar and im in a debate wether or no to change my set up for a aim point or Just A Regular Scope???

This is for a home invasion or intruder and a ShTF situation. I do got my scope on my Gun AND A 45 DEGREE RAIL MBUS ON. HELLLP???????????

For a home defense gun get a Red Dot or Holo. ( an Aimpoint or EOTech, not a "blue light special."

They would we superb for TEOTWAWKI as well.
