Default Optics

Have a bushmaster carbon 15 and I'm looking for a red dot but I don't want to break the bank. My buddie keeps telling me that the only good red dots are the expencive ones like eo techs which are like 400 to 600 bucks . I was looking on cheaper then dirt and there are ones for like 100 bucks that say they are waterproof shock proof and all this stuff and he keeps telling me don't do it cuz they won't ever hold zero and I was just wondering if that's really true or are their ones that people have come across that are cheap and good too? Like I came across this one on cheaper then dirt

Any help would be great.

Bushmaster Carbon 15 M4, Smith & Wesson SW99, Walther P22.

It's been my experience that with most optics, you get what you pay for. I use UltraDot sights, and have not had any issues with 'em at all. Here's a link to an article that may be of interest to you.

I agree with you.. You will always get what you pay for.. And when I'm betting my life that my gear will work all the time, I can't go cheap.. I prefer an eotech or Trijicon...
