The only rifle I own is a Rock River AR carbine and it wears a 4x ACOG. I know spit about optics so I asked my soldier buddies and they all said ACOG. Luckily I got it used so I didn't pay full price...

I an considering a Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20x50, I already have a conquest 3-9x44 on a different rifle.

I have a brand new burris black diamond sitting in the gun safe I bought for a great shooting custom. Problem is the 1st year simmons atec maybe 18+ years old is still holding zero and still good for some 400 yard shots. I do have a new redfield on a rifle 185 dollars and a old bushnell 2.5-10 on a back up rifle. Nothing expensive mounted atleast.

The Zeiss Conquest is an excellent scope,but the only thing they really lack is enough adjustment ability for long range shooting.
Yes,they do offer their ballistic reticles,but they are so busy when you look through them,and tend to be more of a distraction for the shooter.

For the money a Sightron SIII 6-24x50 scope is a better scope than the Conquest. I own 4 of them,and wouldn't think of changing them for anything else in the $1k and under scope catagory.
