Quail and an M1A? On the ground, right? Is that legal?
Not sure got to look more into it. I just recently got out of the military and a buddy of mine likes to go quail hunting so i just assumed. Nonetheless I've always wanted the M1A since I've seen it in action by my sniper teams overseas. So if it isn't legal, I guess I'd have to use something else. I'm pretty much brand new to the whole civilian firearms scene so any information would be greatly appreciated.

In my opinion I'd say it wasn't legal. A 7.62 round will probably make the quail explode. So I take back the quail hunting and just simply target shooting.

Nothing wrong with using it on deer and hogs, though!

Thanks for your service.

Hit me up if you want to try out some M14's at Angeles Range.

Yea I'm definitely up for that. My M14's supposed to arrive at my local FFL dealer this Thursday and the 10 days from there so I will definitely let you know when I finally receive it and we can set something up.

I went with a new Scout Squad black composite. What does NM/SM stand for?

My bad.

NM=National Match.
SM=Super Match.

Squad Scout is a good one.

It is stated as a National Match. What is the difference?

The Squad Scout is not a NM. Lighter, shorter, handier.

NM has 22" medium wt air guaged match grade barrel, NM tuned trigger, NM sights (more precise) and is glass bedded.

oh right, the ad for the rifle said it has national match front sights. I must've misread it.
