Within the next 5 to 10 days I will purchase another nightforce scope for my .300 Win Mag M700 5R. I am kind of torn between the NXS 3.5-15X50 (which I already have on a .308 and a .223) and the 2.5-10X32 compact with the high velocity reticle.
I have the NP-R1 reticle on the .308 and I was thinking in the beginning of putting the NP-R2 on the .300 since it has a much flatter trajectory. One of my shooting partners recommended the compact. The rifle will be used primarily for target out to 500 yards (maximum at our range) and some limited deer hunting over clear cuts and long pastures here in Georgia. Almost all hunting will be with the .308.
What would some of you gentlemen recommend?
