I disassembled and cleaned it and put the receiver back together. Now that the wood is refinished, the bluing looks like crap. So...
I know a guy with a body shop that likes guns and has sprayed DuraCoat on his AR's.
He wants the wood on his Mini 14 refinished, so we'll do a trade. I'll refinish his stock and he'll spray the Marlin.
I'm pretty sure that I'm going to have it sprayed black. This rifle isn't particularly collectible or even worth that much, I'm not a purist and I think it will look pretty good. So, it should be interesting.
