Default Nikon Omega Muzzleloader scope

Logo,
Go to Nikonhunting.com, click on the Spot On logo, it'll take you to a site where you can enter all your load/scope data for Omega BDC scope. I have used this scope twice and I am impressed each time by the repeatable accuracy.
The Spot On site will give you the distances for each circle on the BDC reticle.
You can even generate a printable field reference ballistic chart which will give you the distances of each circle for each magnification setting on the scope. There is a BDC 250 and a BDC 300 now. Let me know what you think.

Well I have decided to get the nikon scope but I just realized I don't have mounts for it. I have holes drilled in my gun for a mount though. I found the scope on opticsplanet.com for an even 200 with free shipping. The scope doesn't come with mounts does it? What kind of mount should I get?

Default mounts

You should be able to easily get by with Med. rings. Don't buy the cheapest, ask around about what is good. I try not to tell folks what I think they should buy. I give them information to help make an informed decision the rest is up to them. I think you will be very happy with your scope. Put some pics up after you get everything mounted.

well i just called a local firearms/sports shop and they said they can get me a base and rings for a total of 50$ I would imagine that the stuff they carry is halfway decent quality.... But i really am clueless so i would really appreciate it if someone wouldnt mind posting a decent set of rings and a base on here so i have some idea what im looking for when i go in there

Here is a 1.5-5x32mm for $90 you should check out....a discontinued model TR1 Nitrex which is pretty much a Weaver Grand Slam scope. Optics in it will match or exceed any scope mentioned so far to you. Retail on it was about $300, but Natchez has reduced price and then the $50 Nitrex rebate make it a very good bargain on a really nice scope.

Nitrex TR One 1.5-5x32mm Rifle Scope Matte Finish TrexPlex Reticle - Natchez Shooters Supplies TR One 1.5-5x32mm Rifle Scope Matte Finish TrexPlex Reticle

Other Nitrex TR1 and TR2 scopes at greatly reduced prices available that are all really nice scopes for bargain prices....Japanese optics that are quite good.
