Several years ago I bought a couple Mueller Eraticator scopes.I mounted one on my 300WM just to see if I could rattle the inside of the scope loose.It handled the recoil just fine-over 300 rounds. I used both of them on my 223 varmint rifles for years until earlier this year.
The glass is average-nothing special,but decently clear.They track OK,but they aren't great.
At high magnification,the outer edge fades out,so the field of view is reduced even more.
Mueller's have very thin tubes,and can be damaged very easily.Make sure you lap your scope rings,and use a torque wrench when tightning your rings.Mueller will not honor their warranty if the tubes are damaged from over tightning the rings.
For a low end scope,Mueller's better than most.But there are a lot better optics out there for a little more money.
Natchez has some good deals on refurbished Nikon's,and Weaver makes some nice scopes also for decent prices.
