In the right hands ya its possible to make them shots but not even I wld try to body shoot something big game w one out past 150 yards....and if im out west i aint head shootin a deer or elk w it either. Unless its a slick head for meat that is and damn skippy its a good long range round for varmints. So is my next project....if i can ever get to it that is

I just dont like the windage dial that far out. I could see a couple turns yes but its almost all the way. As for killing with it, i practiced till i knew the gun then i practiced some more. I have never wounded an animal with it and (knock on wood) hope i never do. I have a remy 700 in 7mm08 that i have turned into a deer killing machine so the 22-250 is just for play on paper and metal gongs.

Then take that rail off there and shoot it that way. If you want to shoot long range find a good platform and shoot 308 or 7 mag. Hell go all the way up to 6.5 creedmore or 338. If you have the money and the cojones try a 7.82 warbird.

The deer shot were like small dogs. Fallow deer and small blacktails. I would never try something with heavy bone mass in shoulder or rib.

That might be but i still wouldnt use it out past 150 yards max and then only for head shots.
