Mossberg 500 scope?

I am thinking about getting a scope for my Mossberg 500 for deer hunting.
I am new to scopes so what would be the best magnification for one? I would like to get a scope that has a wide view. What do u guys think?

Depends on how and what your hunting.

A 4x or ghack 3-9x40mm would be a good starting point.

Check Nikon, Bushnell, Vortex, Weaver.

I have a 2-7x40 Center Point on my deer gun. I like the 2x for hunting in the woods. I hunt on a field edge stand. I have woods behind me and field in front. Too much magnification on the bottom end can have you not being able to find the deer in the scope when they are moving through the trees.

Actually I would go with a Red dot 0 magnification. Quick on the shot and really nice being able to shoot with 2 eyes open. This is the one I use on mine. Very fast and works well. Plus from a vendor of the site.

I have a Bushnell 32mm 1.75-4 power shotgun scope that i'm going to put on my 870,I used it on my .444 and it has great eye relief, like 8" or something so you won't hurt yourself on 3" slugs,I like the reticle too,it was like $65 bucks.
