Default Millett vs. Ospray

You decide between these optics clarity and reticle durability ETC.

Pretty much,Both brands are what I'd consider-JUNK!
There are too many good brands-Nikon,Burris,Bushnell,Weaver,Leupold,Vortex,etc.,t hat offer lower priced models that are totally reliable, and good quality optics.

Just a FWIW, I bought an Osprey scope last year in May, used it twice, then the glass lens with the etched reticle loosened and moved so far right that when shooting I was turning the rifle to the left to compensate, it looked like I was "gangsta" shooting. According to the warranty, you get an RMA from customer service and then send the scope back for replacement or repair, which I did in August.

After numerous phone calls, emails, and a letter to the president of the company, I am still without a replacement. So I would be leery on Osprey just for this reason, the customer service.

What magnification are you wanting?

The Vortex Crossfire or Mueller APV would do you well for a rimfire scope.
SWFA has several models of the Vortex Crossfire on sale right now.
