Lots of fine suggestions. I still haven't settled on something I want just yet. I'm still gagging on the price of the EAW rings and bases. There is another manufacturer of the bases, they are marketed through Watts Walnut. You just supply generic Redfield type rings after you buy the bases there. They are less expensive.
One of the things I am nervous about is having alignment issues or lapping problems.
I have a Burris 3-9 presently residing on a 22 which I could put on this rifle. It is small enough in overall dimension to work and not look too big. At 3x I am generally content, and can't hold anything over about 7x anyways, as the reticle wobbles and weaves too much for my taste.
I don't know. At $440 for rings and bases, I only want to have to do this one time, so I guess I must settle on either 1" or 30mm first, and then go from there.
