Looking for opinions on Spotting Scopes

I am looking for a spotting scope for the range 100-300 yard max, and would like something for right around a $100. I was wondering if anyone else has any experience with this spotting scope, Firefield 20-60x60SE Spotting Scope it seems to have good reviews.

Also if you have any suggestions for a tripod as well I would appreciate it.

Thanks

I'm looking for a spotting scope too. Cheapest one I have found so far is a bushnell for around $260.00. I have no clue what I'm looking for since I haven't
Used one in 20 years.

For range use I'd go low-end.

If you're going to be spending hours glassing for animals, I'd definitely spend the bucks to get quality lenses.

Leupold, Burris, Nikon all make more or less decent spotters for under $500.

If you find one under $200, it probably won't be worth taking home. Look at the Burris line. IMHO, the best low cost compromise between medium quality and junk.

This is going to be used to just for observing and not to hunt with right? angled spotting scopes would be better for if you have to be on the ground or at a weird angle. I would not recommend them for hunting unless you are doing scouting for some goats or something lol
