Default little help

I was at the range the other day and saw a single post monopod kinda looking thing the post was probably 3 inches round maybe more and there was a spotting scope mounted to it, a good size one like a Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 20-60 x80 the guy said he got it at cabelas or basspros he wasn't sure I haven't been able to find anything like it has anybody seen anything like this at a shooting range

Do you have a pic? I'm not able to visualize what you are talking about.

No I wish, it was just a single post... chrome about like a vacuum cleaner extension, it staked into the ground... it looked like maybe there was a tripod base for when you might use it on a floor, the spotting scope was mounted to a bracket about 40 45 inches off the ground.
