Default leopold adjustment problem

hey guys i have a varix 11 year 1999 4x12 adj obj it has 2moa on the up and down adj called leopold they said it was 1/4 moa was shooting today was 3'' low moved the adj up 12points on dial was shooting 3'' high went down 6 was on center does this mean 1/8 moa and what does the 2moa stand for thanks for any input if aimis as bad as spelling in trouble jamo

MOA is minute of arc. One minute of arc equals roughly 1 inch at 100 yards.

As far as the VXII scope goes it is advertised at 1/4 MOA per click of knob. That would mean that 1 click should give you approxmently 1/4" change in elevation or windage at 100 yards and 4 clicks of knob should give you approxmently 1" change in elevation or windage at 100 yards. That being said, it sounds like your scope is adjusting for 1/2 MOA or 1/2" per knob click at 100 yards. In your case 1/2 X 6 = 3.

Was the target at 100 yards when you were sighting in scope?

thanks mrm14 yes i was at 100yds my scope does not click you move it with coin i went up 12marks then down 6 was on
