Default Illuminated reticle

I just bought 22-250 for varmint hunting and I am looking for a stood low light scope to go on it. I have found an illuminated reticle scope and was wanting some feedback on people who have used them at dusk/dawn and whether I should invest in one of those or a normal reticle for low light times.

13,

I have a 3.5 X 10 Leupold VX-III with lighted reticle in 30mm tube. It is great right before dark in Texas which is a regular time for the pigs to show up. I keep it as dim as I can so it does not bleed out the target. But I can still see the cross hairs on the pigs. The problem is with most reticles as soon as it gets into dusk right before it becomes to dark to see the game you can not see a regular reticle even if it is fairly predominant. And it is impossible with the light cross hair reticles. So even if you never use it the lighted reticle is good to have and adds hunting time to the day!
