Things must have changed a lot since 05. We didn't use any lasers during the day and only PEQs at night. No non NV visible lasers.

What are they using lasers for?

And lazing known and likely points of ambush so the Super Cobras could shoot the hell them.

So how were the red IR lasers employed during the day?

You are pretty behind since 05 a lot has changed. Even the military doesn't use iron sights in basic anymore they use acog to qualify and you can between 4 rifles.

That's why I was asking.

We used M16A4s with M68s. Nice to see them using ACOGs.

As far as leg units go I didn't know they were using laser designators outside of their weapon mounted PEQs.
