green or red laser?

Let the argument begin.

GREEN or nothing.
That is all.

Red,

Green is easier for the human eye to detect but the added engineering required to produce laser light in the green color spectrum adds weight, runs WAY hotter, draws more power, and drives up the price.

It is also not as durable and the temperatures it will operate in are not as extreme. Also to get the most out of a green it needs to warm up.

I also vote RED... for all the reasons mentioned. Too expensive to operate and the temp is a major issue...

The biggest advantage to green is that it is visible in brighter light situations. The other arguments stated already do have merit, though. Another consideration for some is color discrimination. If you might have vision issues with discerning certain colors, that might be a reason to go green.

Red to match my reddots. Consistency is a good thing.

Green its worth it, in the end.

You can see green laser light at further distance in daylight better than red.

Military uses green for day and red at night.
